St Lucia Pictures

This is my first attempt at a blog post, so don't make fun of me. I might be the only one who reads it, so I might just be safe.

Michelle promised more pictures from St Lucia, so I can at least put them up. I'm going to try to get another post up tonight that has the new pictures of our most recent sonogram, but we're leaving for Toronto tomorrow, so I don't know if I'll have the time. Oh, and the Wii Fit that I got Michelle for her birthday just arrived, so I have a feeling that I'm going to be a little distracted. At any rate, here are the pictures.

This was the pool in our room and the view of the Pitons. That's right, there was a POOL IN THE ROOM! The walk down to the beach and back was so tough that without the pool, Michelle might only have gotten to swim once or twice.

We did make it out every once and a while, and this was a little bike trip that we took on the 800 acre plantation next to our resort. Yes, I took a pregnant woman mountain biking through the jungle. Yes, it was perfectly safe and was more a tour of the place than a crazy bike outing. Michelle was great about the whole thing. Bike helmets are cool looking. No they aren't.

The resort was set up as a crazy set of bridges and platforms. Michelle is basically at the top of the structure across the bridge from the restaurant. We had a bridge like the one in the picture that went to our room.

If I had to pick one thing (other than the insane room) that seperated St. Lucia from some of the other places that I've been, it would have to be the people. Everyone that we met was just great. They all wanted you to have a good time, were laid back, friendly, and just genuinly happy. I guess living in paradise just agrees with some people. The guy in the picture is our water taxi driver, Jungle, but everyone there was great.
