ST. LUCIA BABYMOON

I'm too relaxed and tired (after the phenomenal week we spent away recently) to come up with a pithy or witty title for this entry.  Suffice it to say, it was a grand and romantic adventure... but that's also because I consider playing Scrabble, Gin, and Backgammon with Chris in our kickass 3-walled suite both "grand" and an "adventure", I'm sure some may argue.  But hey, I'm almost six months prego, I think just eating the occasional soft cheese was being a daredevil!

We DID manage to go biking together in the jungle -- SUCH fun -- and crawling onto boats to visit our share of towns.  We even took a helicopter ride, which I'd never done before and LOVED.  On the softer-side, we had massages, fabulous food and drinks (mmm, the Bentley was the best non-alcoholic drink i've had! ) the most incredible room service breakfasts, there was a fish fry in a neighboring town, a champagne and apps sunset celebration, we clocked hours in our in-room infinity pool overlooking the pitons, debated baby names, battled nefarious mosquitoes, and got some sun.

Anyone who has been to St. Lucia knows the MOST adventurous part was surviving the ride back to the airport!  Crazy.  I used seabands to prevent the nausea, Chris went cold turkey and nearly lost his lunch in the airport.   Lesson learned.

We'll try to post pix soon - for now, enjoy the one above taken by CP, I think he did a fabulous job (it's of me standing against the wall-free view from our suite.  Incredible.)  You HAVE to see this room/resort.  Jade Mountain is a thrill in and of itself...  THANKS AGAIN, PATRICIA!!!!  Our most memorable week since our elopement.
